Overview of the Process

This process involves several steps to create a post on my website, link it to my entry on Omega, and employ Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology using Google Keep. The initial phase focused on curating content, extracting textual information from the source I selected that is Canadian Law enforcement and organizing it for further use. Google Keep played the main role in the OCR process, by allowing me to convert images of text into editable content.
After successfully, extracting the text, the next step involved leveraging the capabilities of Google Docs for compiling and structuring the content into a PDF format.

What worked well?

Finding the app to use for this exercise was easy as the internet suggested good apps to install. I chose the Google keep app as it was fully free to use as it was OCR functionality app. Using this app was very simple and easy, it did not take much time to do the required task with the Google Keep app.

What didn’t?

While this phase was generally smooth, a minor formatting challenge surfaced, underscoring the importance of meticulous attention to detail and organization. The quality of the images were not upto the mark, and while aligning the texts there were some issues.

Did you learn something new or useful during the process?

Throughout this endeavour, I gained valuable insights into the efficiency of OCR for text conversion and the versatility of document creation tools like Google Docs. This experience extents beyond the English class, presenting practical applications in various academic disciplines and personal projects, showcasing the adaptability and utility of these techniques in diverse contexts.
